Impact Training –
RADA
Enterprises,
The
Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) London,
England
Most of us know of the Royal Academy of
Dramatic Arts (RADA) as one of the world’s
most distinguished drama schools. Over the
years, their graduates have included Sir
John Gielgud, Sir Anthony Hopkins, Kenneth
Branagh, Glenda Jackson and dozens of other
world famous actors. But how many know that
RADA has a commercial subsidiary, RADA Enterprises,
with a department called “RADA in
Business”. This department provides
training and coaching for managers in areas
relating to topics such as personal impact,
and presentation skills, by using tutors
who either work as trainers for RADA to
train the world’s best actors, or
who have been approved by RADA to deliver
business training on RADA’s behalf.
Top managers from all over the world take
advantage of their public programs, individual
coaching and tailored programs. So if you
know of an executive who’s looking
for something special, this may fit the
bill.
Analysis for Financial Management;
Robert C Higgins, Irwin McGraw-Hill
If
you’ve ever sat through a management
meeting looking up on a screen at complex
financial data, and wondered what it’s
all about, you’d probably like a quick
and easy way to learn business finance.
Well, there isn’t one, but this book
will take you some of the way. For a book
on finance it’s reasonably clear and
well written. We’ve recommended it
to non-financial managers around the world
and had positive feedback. I still don’t
understand though why finance specialists
have several terms for the same concept!
